Parking
Parking for the Manitou Incline is not permitted in the Pikes Peak Cog Railway lot. Parking for the Manitou Incline is available at the Iron Springs Chateau or the City of Manitou Springs Dillon Parking Lot. The free Route 33 shuttle is available to bring hikers from the Dillon Lot to the Incline. The shuttle drops off adjacent to Cog Railway facility and hikers must then use the dedicated sidewalk to access the Incline. Hikers are not permitted to access the Incline entrance through the Cog Railway parking lot. Hikers are advised to adhere to no trespassing signs located in the vicinity of the Incline and to respect private property.
The Manitou Incline or simply the Incline, is a popular hiking trail rising above Manitou Springs, Colorado, near Colorado Springs.
The trail is the remains of a former 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge funicular railway whose tracks washed out during a rock slide in 1990.
The Incline is famous for its sweeping views and steep grade, as steep as 68% in places, making it a fitness challenge for locals in the Colorado Springs area. The Incline requires reservations.
